Re|Imagining Economics & Finance

with John Fullerton of Capital Institute

Friday, May 1 | 9am - 4pm

A day with John exploring the foundations of regenerative economics and finance. We’ll ground in first principles, examine what’s breaking in today’s system, and imagine what becomes possible when capital serves life.

Re|Designing Systems
with Tré Cates, Natalie Masters, & the nRhythm Team

Saturday, May 2 | 9am - 4pm

A hands-on exploration of how to design social systems the way life works. Expect frameworks, small-group work, collaborative dialogue, and space to apply living systems principles to your own context.

Integration & Re|Generation

Sunday, May 3 | 9am - 12pm

A spacious closing morning for integration, open Q&A, and reflection. What has emerged? What feels alive now? We’ll harvest insight and notice what feels ready to move forward.

Meals & Breaks

Coffee, tea, water, and snacks will be available throughout the gathering. You’re welcome to bring your own, or something to share. Light lunch is included on Friday and Saturday.

Friday and Saturday afternoons are open space — for connection, quiet reflection, time in nature, or a short trip into town.

Dinner will be served in the Sanctuary Building at 7pm on Friday and Saturday. After dinner, we’ll gather around the campfire. Bring instruments, your voice, your stories.

Pick up a bagged lunch on your way out Sunday. You’ll want fuel as you carry the experience forward.

The Venue

Rooted in place. Crafted with intention.

A Place Designed for Connection

Nestled in Flat Rock, North Carolina, our gathering will take place in the Sanctuary at Highland Lake Cove, a handcrafted retreat space created by a devoted community of practice who had been studying and meditating together for more than twenty years.

Built by hand, together, the act of construction became an extension of their shared practice.

That presence remains palpable today. Many visitors describe a quiet attentiveness in the space itself.

When a place is created with such care and intention, it fosters belonging. It holds depth. It supports real conversation.

We’re honored to gather here.

Flat Rock, North Carolina

We are learning to work the way life works.

This retreat is for people who care deeply about the future of our economic, organizational, and ecological systems and who want to engage that work through shared inquiry and relationship.

You might be an ecologist or economist, a designer or investor, an inventor, a builder, a dreamer, or a doer. If you feel the urgency of this moment and are searching for thoughtful, grounded companions, there is space for you here.

You might be curious about what regeneration actually means in practice. You might be a long-time student of living systems thinking. You might already be part of the With Life community. Or you may be brand new.

This is not a religious gathering. It is not a fast-paced conference. It is not a performance. We are co-creating space to build our collective capacity to redesign our social systems in service to life.

Living systems are complex. The challenges we face are layered and dynamic. What we do know is that life thrives in relationship. So that's where we begin.

If you value clear thinking, honest dialogue, and meaningful connection, you will likely feel at home in this room.

From April 30–May 3, 2026, we will gather in Flat Rock, North Carolina for four days of practical exploration, meaningful dialogue, and real connection.

If this feels aligned, we invite you to commit.
